Wow, we have been having the nicest weather! All week it's been sunny and hot up until today! Emily has been away at camp with her Sparks Unit (kind of like Brownies but smaller) all weekend. hmmmm....I wonder how she's doing. I pick her up today at 3 pm. It's been a nice break for me only to have Haley and Ally. Yesterday I took them to this HUGE garden center just off the Yellowhead. Everytime I pass it, I think I should go there- I've said this I'm sure for 3 years in a row. Well, Yesterday I finally did it! It was great! They had a rose house, with hundreds of varieties, and an annual house, and a perrenial house, and a watergarden house. It was amazing! There was a playground for the girls to play at when they were bored, and wagons and cars for them to ride around the grounds. They had so much fun, and so did I! Now that we have some money, it's so nice to be able to dream and plan things. So I'm having so much fun planning the garden-the way I want it! My aunt gave me some plants a couple of years ago- they are really nice, but I don't know what they are, if they are in the place where they should be(sunny spots, shady spots). So I'm going to buy some good garden soil(cuz what I have looks like crap), and start all over again. I also want to put in some vegetables in the back yard, and of course more flowers. I wish I lived closer to my nanny. She had the most beautiful garden! She grew all kinds of vegetables, and flowers-I'm sure that she could teach me so much. I'm thinking that I might take some pictures with my digital camera, and let her help me that way.
It was funny, because I went to the bulk garden section- where you can buy a truckload of garden soil, rocks of all shapes and sizes...etc. I was writing down the prices for the Rox Blox (kind of like Allan Block) and this man asks me if he can help me anything. I didn't look up from my notepad and just told him, "We're just.....(then I looked up and he was sooo handsome and I forgot what I was going to say-this has never happened to me before!!) ...... looking around. He turned to leave and then I remembered what I wanted to ask him about while I had him there (delivery charges!! Thank goodness I remembered!) It was just weird, because I've heard of stuff like that happenning to other people -like my mom and this Richard Gere look alike, she was gaga for weeks!- but I never thought it would happen to me. ANYWAYS......
On Friday, Brian brought out the kites, it was so windy and perfect for kiteflying! We bought some really nice ones for the girls. I think we're going to take them out again today. It's cool and windy, I'm sure it will be perfect conditions.
